Moto G6 Play

The Moto G6 Play is a great little surprise of a phone. It holds its own next to the other two G6 phones and has better battery life (and a cooler fingerprint sensor). The 18:9 display and premium (but plastic) design means it feels just as well-made as phones double the price but doesn’t compromise on performance to do so.  With a headphone jack as a plus, a minus is micro-USB but we’ll forgive that on its strengths and can recommend the G6 Play as one of the best budget phones of 2018.

The Moto G6 Play is the most basic model in the G6 range but still has plenty going for it, including a long-lasting battery and a decent screen. If you're on a tight budget it's easy to recommend.

A great, everyday phone, the Moto G6 Play is still one of the cheapest handsets that you can buy. The main issue is that the competition has got a lot tougher and you can spend just a little more to get a considerably more powerful handset from the competition. If you're on the tightest of budgets, then this is a handset that you'll be happy with but if you can just spend a little more cash, you'll be happier in the long run.
