Motorola Edge 30
Remember when smartphones were competing to be the thinnest around? The Edge 30 is a throwback to that thin-for-the-win era. It combines sleek styling and a flourish of fancy features – a fantastic-looking screen, a capable camera system, and nippy performance for the price. Its battery won't blow you away, and may struggle to make it through a busy day – but for casual users, this could be the best, slimmest option around.

The Motorola Edge 30 has tough competition in the UK, but the lightweight design, premium look, stunning display and decent performance could be enough to tempt consumers – as long as they look past the all-plastic build, slow charging and limited OS upgrades.

The Motorola Edge 30 is a slim and light mid-range smartphone with a 144 Hz display and good performance, but somewhat short battery runtimes.

The Edge 30 is a reminder that phones can be, well, thin - it's so lightweight but still has a great display. Performance is solid but there are a few small features missing, and we'd have loved to see better camera performance. Still, if you want a light and slim phone this is a great mid-range contender.

Motorola gives a different value proposition, compared to what you’d typically get in the mid-range phones, with the Motorola Edge 30. You’ll get the fastest android phone in this segment with its 144 Hz screen, the best mid-range chipset and a near-stock Android experience. While this combination of specifications will give you a distinguished experience, there are better options for smartphone photography when compared to the Motorola Edge 30.

Motorola hasn’t reinvented its mid-range smartphone option, but it has refined it with an extremely lightweight body and an improved camera. The brand’s unique 144Hz display and super-clean software also help the Edge 30 stand out from the crowd, though concerns over stamina prevent a clean sweep.
