The OnePlus 8T is better specced in almost every way than the OnePlus 8 it succeeds from earlier this year. It’s got quicker 65W fast charging, a higher 120Hz refresh rate display, a bigger 4,500mAh battery, and an extra camera.

The OnePlus 8T is yet another top-spec, very well-priced, excellent phone from the Chinese smartphone brand.

The OnePlus 8T doesn’t change the game – particularly if you bought OnePlus 8 – but it is another great handset from the brand, with a stunning display, a unique look, good battery life and a camera that impresses. If you’re looking for a handset that’s a touch cheaper than most top-end phones, but still offers plenty of premium features, you’ve found it.

The OnePlus 8T is a conservative update that’s made more convincing by a price drop compared to the 8, making it an incredibly competitive budget flagship – but an upgrade to the main camera is now long overdue.

The OnePlus 8T could have been a new flagship phone-killer, with its strong specs, excellent display, and super fast charging. But the cameras don’t quite measure up to other leading phones.
