Samsung Galaxy A51

At $400, Samsung's Galaxy A51 has a gorgeous display, good cameras, and a battery that will easily get you through the day, but it can use a boost in the processor department.

Samsung’s $399 Galaxy A51 smartphone is Android’s first big attempt to take on the iPhone SE. It has a big 6.5-inch screen, a 4,000mAh battery, and a 48-megapixel camera. Samsung says all three are “awesome,” but only one is.

The Samsung Galaxy A51 offers a nice design and attractive OLED display, but it’s hamstrung by middling performance, cameras that underperform in low light and relatively short battery life.

The Samsung Galaxy A51 is an affordable way to get a good-looking Galaxy phone, but it makes Android feel a little too slow for us to wholeheartedly recommend it.

The A51 proves Samsung can make solid mid-range phones. Its flagship-esque design and solid cameras provide the foundations for an excellent handset, while One UI provides an excellent user experience. However, performance is less than impressive, while the poor in-display fingerprint scanner is a big letdown. Samsung fans can look beyond these shortcomings, but at this price point the A51 is hard to recommend.

The Galaxy A51 is a mid-range smartphone that does a good job in all areas and takes good photos.

El A51 es la mejor muestra de que Samsung también puede fabricar teléfonos interesantes en la gama media. Su diseño emblemático y su conjunto de cámaras sientan las bases para poder ser un teléfono competente.  No obstante, la gama media está muy reñida y el rendimiento global del Galaxy A51 no llega a ser tan impresionante como el que brindan otros de su misma clase, a lo que se le une algunas ausencias como el hecho de que el escáner de huellas dactilares no esté integrado en pantalla.

The Samsung Galaxy A51 is a good, solid mid-range effort. There are no major flaws, but the processor and battery weren't quite as good as we'd been expecting.
